and essentially Battery 3) should theoretically integrate with Maschine and Komplete Kontrol just fine (but I don't know if NI put in any code to specifically tie Kontrol to the Komplete 9 and 10 bundles versus individual product installs and previous bundles). I started out with Komplete 6, and if you keep up with your Service Center updates most of the included Komplete 6 products (except for Kontakt 4 and Guitar Rig 4. I wrote a blog post to accompany the worksheet around the time that K10 was officially announced. Here's a worksheet that compares the contents of all versions of Komplete and Komplete Ultimate since Komplete 1 first dropped in 2003. The new version 1.5 adds a rewritten audio engine underneath as well as many new performance oriented features. Additionally, various modulation effects can be applied to the signal, which allows for even further sound manipulation. The level, delay time and feedback amount for each of these bands can be set separately. It differs from many other audio effects in that it uses real-time FFT (Fast Fourier Transformation) to split each channel of a stereo signal into as many as 160 separately modifiable frequency bands. The NI-SPEKTRAL DELAY is easy to use, with all parameters controlled intuitively and comfortably from a sophisticated graphical user interface.

In addition, the sonic possibilities have been expanded even further with new features like a high-pass filter mode and an invertible filter envelope. The synthesizer emulation has been vastly improved by a new oscillator technology that offers an even warmer and more brilliant sound. PRO-53 - KOMPLETE 3 adds the latest generation of the virtual analog classic Pro-53.

vokator and spectral were great and never replaced with anything except some slightly similar reakor ensembles that take 10 times more cpu to run and do not sound as good. EP, b4, pro53, intaKt and Kompakt became Kontakt instruments. all should still run, as stalone or vst, even on 10.9 if you do the intel universal updates. The one to keep is k3, it has these which are no longer in Komplete since v4. you need Kontakt 5 to have kontakt instruments and multis to show up in m2, and massive 3 as well, so that would answer that on functionality: Komplete 6 would only show up as vst plug-ins in m2, not as instruments, multis, ensembles, sets, kits. the think you get with k8 - 10 has more integration with m2.

but with 6 you have acoustic and electric piano, renamed in k7 - 9, and taken out of k10 for 3 new ones. Current versions, though they all should run fine still.
